1. Visit the school and meet with Teacher Sara
2. Read these documents that are in your visitation packet:
• Welcome to My Own School
• Child & parent immunization pages
• Articles about play based schools & cooperatives
3. After you have decided to proceed with enrollment, fill out the “Request for Admission Packet” and give it to Teacher Sara or the Membership Chairperson with your registration fee: $30 for a group meeting (see #6 below); $60 if you will have a private Orientation Meeting.
4. Get an Admission Packet. Take it home and complete it. This entails getting medical records & appointments. Mail or deliver your completed packet as soon as you can.
5. Schedule your Shadow Day. This is a day when you come to school without your child to learn what it’s like to be a working parent at preschool.
6. Attend an Orientation meeting. This meeting will be on TBA starting at 8:30 a.m. at the school. You must be oriented before your child’s first day of school. If you are unable to attend the group Orientation meeting then you will schedule a private one (see #3).
7. Before your child’s first day of school pay your security fee and first month’s tuition. Our Treasurer will be in touch with you about this payment.
8. If you are enrolling after our major fundraiser, the Shrimp Feed, you may be subject to additional fundraising responsibilities later in the school year.
